Asbestos Awareness

If you work on buildings constructed or refurbished before the year 2000, Asbestos may well be present. If this is the case then you and your employees have a legal requirement to carry out Asbestos Awareness Training in order to help you avoid the risks and comply with Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. To build awareness and develop knowledge among site-based employees, educating to the hazards and risks posed by Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) within their everyday working environment. It also offers an overview of the legislative measures in place to safeguard workers.

Who should attend?

Asbestos awareness training should be given to employees or supervisors whose work could foreseeably disturb the fabric of a building and expose them to asbestos, particularly maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) may become exposed during their work.
